He is the founding Partner of the Firm originally under the name of M/s Muwema & Mugerwa Advocates & Solicitors and now under M/s Muwema & Company Advocates & Solicitors.He holds over 20 years of extensive experience in Commercial legal practice and litigation. He has handled numerous Commercial transactions on Mergers and Business Acquisitions, Receiverships, Legal Audits, Company formations and restructures for business ranging from Banking, Manufacturing and Mining etc.Fred is an established and dependable litigator who has/is handling complex/ground breaking litigation in areas of Trade, Tax,Telecom/Broadcast Sector, Banking, Intellectual Property and Constitutional law just to mention but a few.Due to his recognizable expertise and experience, he is a regular Resource person for symposiums/Conferences organized by Public bodies like the Uganda Communications Commission, Uganda Law Society and the Uganda Manufacturers Association among others. He is a key member of the International Trade Mark Association (INTA), East Africa Law Society (EALS) and Uganda Law Society (ULS) among others.
His practice encompasses debt collection, debt restructuring and rescheduling, investigation, asset tracking and recoveries and insolvency litigation,Land transactions and Conveyance He advises creditors such as banks and other financial investors as well as corporate debtors and their directors/officers. He also heads the legal support team in enforcement and raid actions which is very instrumental in co-coordinating the Police, apprehending culprits, seizing counterfeits, obtaining and securing evidence to be used in prosecutions. Friday has been a key participant in the INTA Annual Conference in Washington DC in May 2012 and Dallas Texas in May 2013. He is an advocate of the High Court and all subordinate courts thereto and is a member of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) and the East African Law Society and a member of the International Trademarks Association (INTA).
Roscoe works with the Litigation Team of the firm. He specializes in land transactions and conveyances, employment law and civil litigation. He is an advocate of the High Court and all subordinate courts thereto and is a member of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) and the East African Law Society.
Carolynn practices in the areas of Corporate Governance, Land transactions and conveyance, Intellectual Property, Securities law/Banking Law, corporate counseling, Commercial Law, licensing transactions, venture capital and corporate finance, Litigation and the representation of emerging growth companies. She is a qualified Chartered Secretary and an advocate of the High Court and all subordinate courts thereto and is a member of the Uganda Law Society (ULS), the East African Law Society and the International Institute of Chartered Secretaries (ICSA).
Kevin’s interests lie in the aspects of criminal law, land transactions and conveyance as well as labor/ employment law. He advises corporate institutions and organizations on a wide range of legal, regulatory and transactional matters, working closely with their in-house counsel and will always provide the legal advice required since he appreciates all transactions from both the legal and financial perspective. He is an advocate of the High Court and all subordinate courts thereto and is a member of the Uganda Law Society (ULS) and the East African Law Society.
Andrew is an Advocate, member of Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society. He holds an LLB (HONS) degree from Uganda Christian University and a Post Graduate Diploma from Law Development Centre.
His practice areas include litigation, Constitutional Law, Commercial Transactions, Land Transactions and Conveyancing, Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Commercial Contracts, Sports Law and Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation, Employment mergers and acquisitions, Due diligence and related areas.
Damalie holds an LLB (HON) from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre and is currently a final year student of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators UK (ICSA), she is also a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.
Damalie practices Commercial Law and Litigation with a keen interest in Intellectual Property, Compliance Audits and Company Secretarial Services. She has experience in Intellectual Property Registrations, Opposition and Litigation for both local and international clients. She has represented the Firm at various Forums including the Annual General Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) in Dallas, Texas, USA and Hong Kong.
Anne is a Member of the Uganda Law Society with 6 years’ experience. She has handled Corporate Restructuring for both Local and Foreign Firms and has successfully represented Local and Foreign Firms in Litigation. Her interest is in Commercial Litigation, Land Transactions and Labour/Employment Law.
Allen is involved in Legal Research, preparation of Legal briefs and opinions and preparation of Court documents. She has experience in Intellectual Property, Commercial Law and Criminal Law.
